Park Seed is especially proud of the famous 9-acre Trial Gardens, located in front of the Park Seed/Wayside Gardens headquarters on Highway 254 in Greenwood, South Carolina. Bring the whole family—and your camera—to experience first-hand more than 2,000 varieties of gorgeous plants. The Trials Gardens are open year-round for self-guided tours, but they are especially enjoyable in early summer, when the flowers are at their peak. The Trial Gardens allow Park Seed and Wayside Gardens’ renowned research horticulturists to compare new flower and vegetable varieties with old-time favorites and proven performers. Only the best will be selected for future catalogs. The Trial Gardens present several special-focus areas in lovely landscape settings, including theme gardens, container garden display, a Rose garden, and of course, the prestigious All-American Selections trials.
