Open a Park Seed Company catalog to discover the newest plants for 2010. From the sweetest fruits to the most uniquely colored flowers, we have selected some of the best seeds to present in our upcoming spring catalog, which will be released December 2009. Below are a few of the selections that will be available next season.

Snapdragon Twinny Peach (2010 AAS Winner)

This blend of peach, melon, yellow, and golden-orange is the first ever double-flowered dwarf Snapdragon. It offers 1 ½ inch butterfly shaped blooms that are able to withstand both hot and wet conditions. Adding to the Snapdragon Twinny’s appeal, it is interesting to note that these plants are ready to bloom just 10 to 12 weeks after sowing and will continue to bloom all winter in mild climates. They make great plants for annual beds or containers.

Morning Glory Carnival TM

These easy-to-grow Morning Glory vines sport various shades of pink and blue on a background of large white blooms, which unfurl like old-fashioned parasols. Every bloom is uniquely patterned, for a dazzling effect over a long, late season. They can be directly sown for quicker cover or started indoors.

Zinnia Zahara Starlight Rose (2010 AAS Winner)

This Zinnia is not only resistant to mildew and leaf spot, but is also the most free flowering, largest-flowered bedding Zinnia available. Each 2 ½ inch bloom is pure white with a center of bright pinkish red rose coloring. These versatile Zinnias love hot, dry weather conditions, but are also great for humid, rainy climates.

Viola Endurio TM Sky Blue Martien (2010 AAS Winner)

This Viola’s ¾ inch blooms are sky blue with darker whiskers and fingerprints. Appearing in unbelievable numbers over a long, long season or two, these everblooming, early-flowering, and extra-tough violas earn the Endurio TM name. The very unique habit trails and mounds to create perfect hanging baskets or groundcovers.

Gaillardia Mesa Yellow (2010 AAS Winner)

Winner of the Fleuroselect Gold Medal and the 2010 All America Selections Award, these beautiful Blanket Flowers are quick growing and compact, growing just 20 to 22 inches wide. It is a native American perennial capable of tolerating drought, humidity, heat, cold, and moisture.

Carrot Tendersnax Hybrid

This is the perfect carrot for eating raw, juiced, or cooked. Tendersnax sport 5 to 6 inch orange roots that adults and children alike will enjoy. The sweetness of this disease resistant German bred carrot is irresistible.

Watermelon Orange Sweet Hybrid

This seedless watermelon requires 80 days from seed. Orange Sweet is 9 inches in diameter and 17 to 19 pounds of sweet orange fruit encased in a green striped shell.

Melon Dove Hybrid

This is the sweetest melon that Park Seed offers. Weighing 3 to 4 pounds and growing 5 to 6 inches in diameter, this melon scores 15.5 on the Brix sweetness scale. The center will turn a pale rose color if it is allowed to reach its peak of ripeness before harvesting.

Tomato Health Kick Hybrid VF1

This hardy vine grows 4 1/2 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. Health Kick is unique in that each tomato produces 50% more Lycopene than other tomatoes, therefore rich in antioxidants proven to fight cancer.

Pumpkin On A Stick (Ornamental Eggplant)

This sun loving ornamental looks like a pumpkin, but is actually an eggplant. The fruits grow in clusters 2 to 5 inches in diameter on a plant that reaches 2 to 3 feet wide and 3 to 4 feet tall. Pumpkin On A Stick sports a handsome green oak-leaf foliage and fruit that ripens from green to red to orange.
